CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper has arrived in Israel and will meet IDF chief of staff Zamir and other senior defense officials for a situation assessment, Israeli public broadcaster reports. Cooper held meetings in Bahrain and the UAE before the visit. The trip coincides with negotiations over a potential ceasefire as the US continues to press Israel to advance transition to the next phase of the Gaza peace plan.
