Iran's Bandar Abbas coast guard said on the 9th it detained 12 vessels in waters off Bandar Abbas after they failed to produce valid documentation. Authorities have not released vessel owners or other details.

A Ukrainian drone entered Bulgarian airspace from Romania on Saturday and exploded on Bulgarian territory, Bulgarian officials said. The device detonated about 1,000 metres from a compressor station on the cross‑Balkan gas pipeline, directly threatening critical energy infrastructure. Bulgaria’s defence ministry said wreckage points to a weapon type widely used by the Ukrainian military. Prime Minister Rumen Radev said the explosive payload was substantial. Bulgaria summoned the Ukrainian ambassador and has scheduled a meeting for Monday; officials said the incident so far appears not to have been deliberate.
