On the evening of the 9th the Russian Defence Ministry said Moscow time between 0800 and 2000 its air-defence forces intercepted and shot down 285 Ukrainian drones over multiple western regions, including Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk and the Moscow region. The ministry said Russian forces also struck a thermal power plant and seven substations inside Ukraine and used drones to hit gas-field infrastructure in Sumy region.
