Rainfall from Typhoon White Dolphin raised the water level at Baizhizao hydrological station in Jiaojiang, Taizhou, Zhejiang to 17.03 m at 22:55 on Aug 9, 0.03 m above the 17.00 m warning level; corresponding discharge was 3,900 m3/s. Under main rivers flood numbering rules the event is designated Jiaojiang 2026 No.2 flood.

Ahead of the 33rd APEC informal leaders' meeting, Shenzhen's cross-border passenger traffic has climbed further. Shenzhen border inspection authority said as of Aug 4 foreign entries and exits via Shenzhen ports exceeded 5.0 mln, reaching the milestone 58 days earlier than in 2025.
