The National Development and Reform Commission said China’s compute base has been strengthened this year as a domestically produced 100,000‑GPU AI supercluster at the National Supercomputing Internet’s Zhengzhou core node entered service. Staff said the cluster’s peak per‑second compute capacity is equivalent to 200 years of continuous human computation and it is now supporting more than 300 computing tasks across 26 fields, including new materials, innovative drugs and artificial intelligence.
