Hang Seng Indexes Company published a consultation paper on potential revisions to the Hang Seng TECH Index, citing an expanding technology segment on the Hong Kong market. Proposed changes would broaden the index's technology thematic scope, revise constituent selection methodology and increase the number of constituents to preserve representativeness. The firm expects to announce the proposed revisions by end-September 2026 and implement them as part of the index review ending September 30, 2026, subject to final approval by the Index Advisory Committee after considering consultation feedback. Any constituent changes would take effect in the December 2026 rebalancing.
