The Information reports one‑year‑old Applied Compute is in talks on a new
funding round that could value the company at roughly $3bn, more than double its
valuation four months ago. The startup helps enterprises run and customize
open‑source models on proprietary data. Insiders say annualized revenue is about
$50m, nearly 4x the level CEO Yash Patil disclosed in November. Investor Elad
Gil is reportedly in talks to lead the round, which is expected to raise several
hundred million dollars; it is unclear whether the valuation includes the new
capital. The round has not closed and terms may change.
