Reserve Bank of Australia says inflation will rise markedly in H2 2025; data since early this year confirm part of the increase is due to rising capacity pressures.

Kioxia said on Tuesday that as of Aug. 3 former parent Toshiba cut its stake from 14.48% to about 14.12%, making BCPE Pangea Cayman2, set up by Bain Capital, the largest shareholder with a 14.19% holding. Kioxia’s annual report shows SK Hynix holds bonds convertible into “almost all” of BCPE Pangea Cayman2’s voting rights; the company flagged SK Hynix’s claim as a risk that could create conflicts of interest. SK Hynix participated in the 2018 Bain-led buyout and agreed under the deal not to exceed 15% of Kioxia’s voting rights without Kioxia’s consent before 2028.

Treasurer Chalmers said the Reserve Bank of Australia’s decision to hold interest rates steady amid rising global uncertainty and persistent domestic pressure was welcome.
