Hong Kong stocks closed higher. Hang Seng Index +1.05% at 25,937.49; Hang Seng Tech Index +1.26% at 4,919.46. Market turnover HKD 240.3 bln, down from HKD 259.7 bln on prior session. Precious metals and livestock sectors led gains; coal also strong. Innovative-drug names spiked then retreated; new-consumer stocks firmed in the afternoon. Compute-hardware, optical-communications and storage sectors underperformed.
