Uniper has identified about 10 European sites that could be sold, leased or
developed into data centers to capture surging AI infrastructure demand,
according to documents released Tuesday. The portfolio includes four UK, three
German, two Swedish and one Dutch location; three projects are at an advanced
stage and investment decisions could be made this year. After a
multibillion-euro rescue during the 2022 energy crisis, the German government is
prepared to gradually reduce its stake in Uniper, and the company says the moves
are intended to boost investor appeal.
