On the 11th a seafarer said a container ship on the eastern edge of the Gulf of
Oman came under attack; crew issued a distress call, prepared to abandon ship,
and said the vessel, with 17 crew aboard, was reportedly attacked by a
helicopter. UK Maritime Trade Operations also reported on the 11th an incident
in the Gulf of Oman involving a container ship and military forces.
