At the open, China's main futures contracts were mixed. Glass fell more than 2%;
soda ash and coking coal declined over 1%; low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) and alumina
were down about 1%. On the upside, eggs, pulp and Shanghai silver gained more
than 1%; synthetic rubber, lithium carbonate, rapeseed oil and polypropylene
(month-to-date average) rose roughly 1%.
