Market sources circulated a customer letter saying Nan Ya will raise prices of
substrates and base materials by 20% from Sept. 1, citing large increases in
costs for copper foil, glass fiber cloth and resins. Nan Ya said the price
increase is real and it has negotiated multiple price adjustments with customers
this year as material costs rose, but the circulated document is not an official
external price notice and the company has not implemented a blanket, one‑time
20% across‑the‑board increase. Electronic-material prices have been adjusted
repeatedly this year, with cumulative gains of more than 100%.
