The Washington Post on Aug. 13, citing U.S. officials, reported the U.S. military has lost at least 45 MQ-9 Reaper drones in fighting with Iran, about 25% of the fleet. Depending on sensors and weapons, a single MQ-9 costs $30–50 mln, implying Reaper losses alone may exceed $1.3 bln as the Iran conflict continues to deplete U.S. weapons stocks.

At the morning close, China's main futures contracts were mostly higher. Rapeseed oil and lithium carbonate rose over 2%. Industrial silicon, Soybean No.1, low‑sulfur fuel oil (LU), fuel oil, live hogs, synthetic rubber, polysilicon and coking coal gained more than 1%. On the downside, palladium fell over 3%; SHFE silver and platinum dropped more than 2%; stainless steel (SS) and SHFE gold declined about 2%.
