Aug 14 — At its Q2 results meeting, SMIC co-CEO Zhao Haijun said AI-driven
industrial push and spillover effects will continue into H2, supporting broad
demand for integrated circuit manufacturing. The company is flexibly
reallocating existing capacity and fast-tracking validation of new capacity to
ease supply tightness. He added rising supply-chain costs have begun to pass
through to manufacturing; SMIC will take measures to mitigate the impact and
minimize disruption.
