CATL said Quinbrook’s Supernode energy storage Phase II has entered commercial operation and Phase III’s A$469m financing has closed. Phases I–II (520MW/1,858MWh) are now fully commercial; after Phase III the project’s total capacity will exceed 3GWh, making it the largest operating battery storage asset in Australia’s National Electricity Market (NEM). CATL is the project’s sole supplier; Phase III will exclusively deploy CATL’s Tianheng storage system and CATL and Quinbrook will jointly develop 8‑hour long-duration storage solutions. CATL has installed a unified standardized technical platform at the site to remove multi-phase equipment compatibility risks and support full-cycle safety and efficient operations.
