China's National Bureau of Statistics said Jan–Jul urban retail sales of
consumer goods totaled 24.93 tln yuan, up 1.1% YoY; rural retail sales were 3.85
tln yuan, up 2.4%. July urban retail sales amounted to 3.38 tln yuan, up 0.5%
YoY; rural sales were 524.2 bln yuan, up 1.6%. By type, Jan–Jul retail sales of
goods were 25.49 tln yuan, up 1.1% YoY; catering revenue was 3.28 tln yuan, up
2.6%. In July, goods retail was 3.45 tln yuan, up 0.5% YoY; catering revenue was
456.7 bln yuan, up 1.4%.
