European stocks rose Monday after most major indices fell last week; only
Germany’s DAX hit a record high. The Stoxx Europe 600 gained 0.2%, led by
technology and pharmaceutical names. STMicroelectronics, cited as a SpaceX
supplier, jumped 3%. ASML and ASM International rose 2.35% and 2.7%
respectively. Argenx climbed about 7.7% after positive clinical trial results.
Germany’s DAX was up 0.02%, the FTSE 100 rose 0.3% and France’s CAC 40 fell
0.1%.
