On the 17th at 00:28 local time the Kurdistan Region Counter-Terrorism Directorate said two explosive‑laden Hadid‑110 drones were launched from the direction of the Iranian border, targeting the Kurdistan Region prime minister’s office and the residence of the Kurdistan Region Security Directorate chief in Pirmam district, Erbil province. The directorate said there were no casualties and vowed to hold the perpetrators accountable.

State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) data show banks' conversions of foreign exchange into yuan were CNY 1,809.7 bln in July and banks' foreign-exchange sales were CNY 1,685.6 bln, leaving a monthly net conversion surplus of CNY 124.1 bln. January–July agency receipts totaled CNY 38,312.8 bln and payments CNY 36,199.3 bln (net receipts CNY 2,113.5 bln).
