Beijing Municipal Market Supervision Administration said the Beijing Consumers Association, citing Article 40 of the Implementing Regulations of the PRC Law on the Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests, summoned 20 children's bedding manufacturers after comparative tests found safety defects and breaches including unrounded edges, exposed sharp points, non‑compliant holes and gaps, excessively long cords, missing warning labels and levels of harmful substances above regulatory limits. Companies were ordered to immediately stop sales of affected products, carry out comprehensive self-inspections against national standards and establish long‑term quality control mechanisms.
