A-share indices opened lower, rallied briefly then slid; at midday the Shanghai
Composite fell 0.39%, the Shenzhen Composite dropped 1.09% and the ChiNext index
eased 1.3%. Turnover across Shanghai and Shenzhen was 1.64 trillion yuan, up
139.3 billion yuan from the prior session. More than 3,900 stocks were down.
Grain-related names extended gains, with genetically modified/seed stocks
leading—several seed producers including Qiule Seed, Nongfa Seed, Jingliang
Holdings, Wanxiang Denong, Denghai Seed and Yasheng Group hit daily limits. Pork
names were active: Luoniushan posted a second consecutive limit-up and Tianbang
Foods hit the limit. Fertilizer, dairy and glass-substrate sectors outperformed.
AI-related names underperformed, with Daheng Technology, Zhongguang Tianze and
Kaipu Cloud among decliners. Compute-rental names plunged; Hongbo fell over 9%,
and Xingyun Technology, Jinkai New Energy, Huijin and Qunxing Toys each fell
more than 5%. Software development, cloud office and gaming sectors were also
among the day’s laggards.
