The State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) said it has closed 13
cases involving monopoly agreements and abuse of market dominance through July.
In 1H SAMR intensified probes in public utilities, internet platforms, active
pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and driver-training, applying case-by-case
enforcement. It said it has normalized oversight of the platform economy, is
conducting targeted investigations and assessments of e‑commerce platform
subsidy practices and competition in food-delivery services, and is exploring
measures to curb 'involution'-style excessive competition.
