Iranian state TV reported MP Abbas Moghtadaei said Iran and Oman are set to issue a joint statement announcing a new Strait of Hormuz corridor independent of the southern route. Moghtadaei, deputy chair of parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, provided no further details.
