talks with the US after Washington violated a US-Iran memorandum of
understanding. A source close to the negotiating team said talks with the US
were suspended after that breach. Iran's talks with Oman on the Strait of Hormuz
were unrelated to the US. CNN reported on the 18th that President Trump
instructed his negotiating team to cease contact with Iran; US officials told
CNN Trump is dissatisfied Iran has not met his demands and wants to resume
contact only if Iranian leaders demonstrate willingness to reach the agreement
he seeks.
