Iran’s armed forces chief of staff warned countries on the southern shore of the Persian Gulf not to facilitate US forces, saying any assistance to US troops would be treated as participation in military action against Iran. He said Tehran is closely monitoring US bases in the region and warned host countries against enabling US operations, adding that states claiming they would not allow the US to use their territory to strike Iran should know nothing escapes Tehran’s notice.
