Baltic Dry Index (BDI) fell for a second day, down 39 pts (1.4%) to 2,776 — its
lowest since July 31. Capesize index (BCI) slid 76 pts (2%) to 4,376, also a
July 31 low; Capesize daily earnings dropped $691 to $36,181. Panamax index
(BPI) fell 48 pts (2.2%) to 2,107, lowest since July 31; Panamax daily earnings
declined $427 to $18,964. Supramax index (BSI) rose 3 pts (0.2%) to 1,634, its
highest since July 28. Handysize index (BHSI) rose 1 pt to 867.
