The union demands the company grant 1,000 treasury shares to each DX employee, arguing May’s wage deal widened performance-pay gaps between DS (semiconductors) and DX (smartphones, TVs, appliances) and left DX staff relatively disadvantaged. The union says 49,345 DX employees who were on the payroll last month would be eligible, totaling 49.345 million shares; at an assumed ~250,000 won per share, the stock value would exceed 12 trillion won.
