On Aug. 19 China's Foreign Ministry said that during Wang Yi's upcoming visit to Indonesia the sides will hold two mechanism meetings, including a 2+2 meeting where Foreign Minister Wang and Defense Minister Dong Jun will conduct in‑depth exchanges with Indonesian counterparts on political-security and defense cooperation and on regional and international developments. China said it will coordinate development and security cooperation with Indonesia and accelerate building a China-Indonesia community with regional and global influence.
