Fu Xin, Ping An’s deputy general manager and CFO, said at the company’s results
briefing on the 21st that recent share-price weakness mainly reflects sector
rotation across peers and does not reflect Ping An’s intrinsic value. He urged
investors to evaluate the stock by industry, company and value: China’s
life-insurance sector is in a golden growth period; Ping An’s strategy is clear
and fundamentals are stable; and he expects steady profit and shareholder-return
growth to be reflected in the share price over time.
