Shanghai Housing Authority and Shanghai Finance Bureau released rules for a 'trade‑in for new' home‑purchase subsidy. Mortgage subsidy equals 1% of total loan principal (including housing provident fund, commercial and combination loans); subsidy is capped at 50,000 yuan where total loans exceed 5 mln yuan. Total program funding is 200 mln yuan, available until exhausted. The trade‑in cash subsidy is 30,000 yuan per unit. Eligible buyers may apply after completing transfer registration of the so

Eligible buyers may apply after completing transfer registration of the sold second‑hand home and obtaining real‑estate registration (including pre‑registration) or a property certificate for the new home; applicants submit materials to the district real estate transaction center, which will notify approved applicants and remit subsidies to their bank accounts.
