Aug 21 — Chinese defense minister Dong Jun met his Indonesian counterpart in
Jakarta during the second China‑Indonesia foreign and defense ministers' 2+2
ministerial meeting. Citing strategic guidance from both heads of state, the two
sides said bilateral military ties face a favorable development window and broad
cooperation prospects; they agreed to consolidate military mutual trust, deepen
pragmatic cooperation across multiple domains, increase exchanges at all levels
and jointly safeguard regional peace and stability.
