The Russian Defence Ministry said on the 21st Russian forces continued strikes
on ports and maritime vessels used by the Ukrainian armed forces, reporting
drone strikes on a military warehouse at Reni, a Ukrainian navy patrol boat at
Chornomorsk, and port infrastructure storing military materiel at Yuzhny; Moscow
also said its forces took control of a settlement in Donetsk region. Ukrainian
President Zelenskiy said early on the 21st Ukrainian forces launched long-range
strikes that hit two important Russian targets — an oil refinery and a military
airfield — and Kyiv reported gains in the Black Sea theatre but gave no details
on specific targets or damage.
