On the 22nd, Iran's parliament speaker Ghalibaf said on social media that Tehran has received numerous messages from neighboring countries seeking a new regional security and economic cooperation mechanism. He accused the United States of using 'bullying' to protect Israel and of disregarding allies' interests, saying this has seriously jeopardized their security and left some fearing for their survival. He called for "a genuinely indigenous, independent order capable of delivering regional peace and security."

Iranian Defense Ministry spokesman Reza Talaei-Nik told state television that weapons and defense-equipment output doubled over the past year. He said production rose after a 12-day conflict with the US and Israel ended in June last year, and that some wartime-priority strategic systems increased more than threefold, a claim he said contradicts US and Israeli assertions that Iran's defence production would stagnate.
