Hengqin-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone has processed over 1,000 departure tax refund transactions since the Hengqin port service point opened on July 1, generating more than 7.3 million yuan in inbound-shopping spending. The zone is implementing China’s departure tax refund 2.0 measures and promoting low-threshold, high-efficiency, intelligent services. More than 100 registered tax-refund shops in Hengqin and Zhuhai cover electronics, apparel and cultural goods. Overseas visitors can apply for refunds on single purchases of 200 yuan or more.
