The Wall Street Journal reports California is expected to require Paramount to divest some cable TV channels and to commit to keeping its film studio independent from Warner Bros before approving Paramount's proposed merger with Warner Bros.

Ukrainian President Zelenskiy said he and former defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov split after the defense ministry supplied incorrect information that left him embarrassed before U.S. President Trump, and that he dismissed Fedorov in July. At a roughly two-hour press conference on July 22 (transcript released July 23) Zelenskiy said he had been "very positive" about Fedorov but that Fedorov "went down the wrong path, or was pushed onto it."
