China National Pipe Network Group said the Horgos compression first station on its western pipeline has cumulatively transported more than 600 billion cubic metres of natural gas since entering service in 2009. The station, a key hub for West–East Gas Pipeline II and III, has operated safely for 17 years and underpins China’s energy supply and China–Kazakhstan gas cooperation.

New Zealand’s conservative coalition will submit a bill to parliament on Monday to ban social media use by under‑16s and to impose fines up to 10% of a platform’s global revenue for non‑compliance. The draft bill would require platforms to take reasonable steps to verify user age, including using existing account data, facial‑recognition technology and digital identity documents.
