The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) convened central SOEs on Aug. 20 to accelerate development of the 6G industry and align central enterprises with national, local and industry plans. SASAC urged firms to close technology shortfalls by boosting foundational-theory R&D, driving breakthroughs in key components, and building a secure, stable 6G industry and supply chain. It directed strengthening the industrial base through innovation platforms, market-entity cultivation and talent development, accelerating international cooperation to diversify partnerships and increase China’s voice on 6G, and prioritizing rapid commercialization by incubating scenario-based applications to form closed-loop business models. SASAC issued a co-creation task list for central SOEs on 6G industry scenarios.
