MIIT deputy director Shi Huikang said the Beidou satellite navigation system is a key space information infrastructure: by end-2025 domestic Beidou‑compatible chips and modules had cumulative shipments of nearly 2.6 bln units, the installed base of Beidou‑capable terminal products exceeded 2.2 bln devices/sets, and the satellite navigation industry’s 2025 output totaled 629.0 bln yuan, up 9.24% YoY.
