South Korea's President Lee may meet Samsung Electronics chairman Lee Jae-yong
this week to discuss three national 'super' projects focused on semiconductors
and artificial intelligence, sources said. Lee met SK Group chairman Chey
Tae-won days earlier and may also meet Hyundai Motor Group executive chairman
Chung Eui-sun this week. The talks come as markets speculate Washington is
seeking greater Korean semiconductor investment in the US under Seoul's pledge;
Trade, Industry and Energy Minister Kim said Seoul has not held talks with
Washington on the matter.
