Baltic Dry Index rose on Monday to a near two-week high as freight rates climbed
across vessel classes. BDI gained 41 points (1.4%) to 2,882, the highest since
Aug. 12. Capesize index (BCI) added 91 points (2.0%) to 4,643; Capesize daily
earnings rose $817 to $38,602. Panamax index (BPI) increased 28 points (1.3%) to
2,131, marking a second consecutive gain; Panamax daily earnings rose $250 to
$19,178. Supramax index (BSI) ticked up 1 point to 1,641.
