According to The Information, Meta Platforms (META.O) plans to roll out its
consumer OpenClaw AI assistant (internal codename Hatch) as soon as the coming
weeks and intends to release a new AI model called Watermelon in October. The
product is part of CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s push to monetize Meta’s AI investment
and diversify revenue beyond advertising; Meta has previously considered tiered
pricing including a premium monthly subscription of up to $199.99 with higher
usage allowances. Hatch has been trained to access DoorDash, Etsy, Reddit, Yelp
and Outlook.
