EQUINOR says its international oil and gas portfolio has been streamlined and optimized and is positioned to deliver material growth.

On Aug. 24 in Beijing CHINA and Jordan's King Abdullah II discussed the Middle East. CHINA called for an immediate, comprehensive ceasefire and political-diplomatic resolution, stressing that regional states' sovereignty and security, including Jordan's, must be respected. CHINA said the Palestinian issue is central and set out a four-point approach: (1) pursue a political solution anchored on a two-state framework and push to restart Israeli-Palestinian talks to enable early Palestinian statehood; (2) uphold Palestinian-led governance for West Bank administration and Gaza post-war reconstruction; (3) prioritize humanitarian protection — urge the UN Security Council and international community to protect civilians and ensure aid to avert a humanitarian catastrophe; (4) seek a fair, law-based outcome, addressing root causes and symptoms through pragmatic action to achieve a comprehensive, just and durable settlement.
