The Financial Times, citing people familiar with the matter, reported last week
that Trump administration officials asked Kyiv to refrain from using long-range
missiles and drones to strike Moscow, St. Petersburg and Russia’s northern
regions on Monday–Wednesday while a US plane carrying senior officials visited;
Kyiv agreed. A US Air Force C-17 transport landed in Moscow today. Russian
authorities said the circumstances of the aircraft’s arrival were unclear and
the Kremlin said no meetings with US government representatives are scheduled
this week.
