The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said at a State Council Information Office briefing on 15th Five-Year Plan implementation and accelerated new-type industrialization that it will prioritize cultivating high-quality firms and improve a tiered support system to scale specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative SMEs, create more "little giant" enterprises and single-product manufacturing champions. The ministry will deepen integration across large, medium and small firms to boost upstream-downstream industry-chain collaboration, deploy a nationwide SME service "one network", implement measures to reduce corporate burdens and expand innovation services.

IMF Managing Director GEORGIEVA said global imbalances need to be addressed to bolster the global economy's resilience. The IMF is refining its external balance assessment model.
