Taiwan’s DPP administration said there is currently no plan to reopen Mini Three Links service to Penghu, citing security concerns amid continued mainland military aircraft and vessel activity near Taiwan. Taiwan Affairs Office spokesman Zhang Han said the Mini Three Links remain a key people‑to‑people channel and that restored routes for Shanghai and Fujian residents to Kinmen and Matsu have been well received; since August 2024 roughly 350,000 trips have been made via the Mini Three Links.
