Sources said Schlumberger (SLB.N) has signed a services contract with Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA granting the company access to Venezuelan oilfield data.

Aug. 26 — Shanghai’s municipal post-investment empowerment collaboration platform for state-owned capital funds began operations. Shanghai plans state-capital fund scale above 660 billion yuan by end-2025. The platform, led by the Shanghai SASAC and Shanghai Guotou, will pilot joint “empowerment” consortia to provide full-chain, closed-loop raise-invest-manage-exit fund services aimed at supporting sci‑tech company growth. The first consortium includes Xuhui and Changning districts and 11 SOE and financial members — Shanghai Guotou, Shanghai International Group, Shanghai Electric, Shanghai Instrumentation, Shanghai Tunnel Co., Shanghai Pudong Development Bank (SPD Bank), Bank of Shanghai, Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank, Guotai Haitong, Lingang Group and Shanghai Inspection Company. The consortia will expand to cover all 16 districts and recruit more professional asset managers, industry players and park operators.
