The company is expected to unveil its first foldable iPhone, roughly passport-sized when closed and with an unfolded screen approaching a small iPad — the largest exterior redesign in nearly 20 years. Apple also plans iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models with faster chips, improved battery life and substantial camera upgrades; at least the larger Pro is expected to include a mechanical aperture. A second-generation iPhone Air and the standard iPhone 18 are expected to be delayed until next spring. A new Apple Watch may also debut. Tim Cook will step down as CEO and remain executive chairman.
