China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said it will boost network and data security, deepen protection of critical information infrastructure and important datasets, and raise security standards in AI, the industrial internet and connected vehicles. MIIT urged building a network-and-data security framework for new-type industrialization and improving network resilience.

On Aug 24, 2026, witnessed by the two heads of state, China's National Data Administration and Jordan's Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen practical cooperation in the digital economy. The MoU covers expanding cooperation channels, identifying new growth areas and supporting an upgrade in the quality and stability of bilateral digital-economy collaboration.
