Nepal police said on the 27th local time that flash floods in northern Nepal have raised the death toll to 157 after floods hit Rasuwa district on the 26th.

Three people familiar with the matter said CIA Director John Ratcliffe made an unannounced trip to Moscow on the 25th aboard a US military C-17 to warn Russia against attacking NATO members, particularly the three Baltic states, and to press Moscow to curb support for Iran. The visit has not been acknowledged by President Trump or the CIA. One of the sources was a UK government official. The trip made Ratcliffe the first known CIA director to visit Russia during Trump’s presidency.
