Investors viewing Nvidia as an AI play treated the results as supportive, though initial market reaction was muted after a long tech run-up. During the earnings call Jensen Huang and other executives said Nvidia expects fiscal 2028 revenue to grow 70% and reiterated that AI has reached an inflection point; shares subsequently rose as much as 5%. Analysts said the volatility was within market expectations and warned Nvidia’s challenge is no longer delivering a good quarter but producing results that surpass already-elevated investor expectations—beating Wall Street is increasingly just table stakes.
